Serving as the Chief Executive Officer since 2002, Joseph Frey oversees company operations and develops the general strategic direction. Additionally, he also assists the chief operations officer and helps conduct assessment interpretations. In addition to his practice and his responsibilities to Partners in Achievement, Joseph Frey also owns Psychological Specialists of Augusta and is an affiliate with The Highlands Company.
Living and working in Augusta, Georgia, Joseph Frey also contributes his expertise in psychology to the local authorities. In addition to conducting court-ordered custody/visitation evaluations and presenting sexual/physical abuse defense, Joseph Frey provides consultations to attorneys and often serves as an expert witness. He provides counsel to security companies for local federal facilities by offering evaluations of potential hires and current employees. He also gives consulting services to businesses and corporations.
As an educator, Joseph Frey functions as an Adjunct Associate Professor for the Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior at the Medical College of Georgia. He served as an Assistant Professor and Associate Professor instructor at the college from 1983 to 1989. While operating as the Director of Family Therapy Training and Services, Dr. Frey was responsible for providing supervisions, overseeing training, and offering clinical services in Family/Systems Therapy. Joseph Frey also oversaw and conducted seminars in Marital and Family Therapy. Prior to this teaching appointment, he also taught as an Assistant Professor of Psychology and as the Chief Psychologist of the Children and Youth Project with the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Adolescent Medicine at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
