As a child I enjoyed taking snapshots with my faithful companion, a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye camera. Throughout the sixty plus years since that time I’ve enjoyed film based photography in many formats from 35mm through 4 x 5. Over this time I've also used a number of different cameras including Graflex, Yashica, Exakta, Mamiya, and Canon. My current "user" cameras are: Canon EOS 70D, Canon EOS 650, Mamiya RB67, and Kodak Retina IIIC.

I still enjoy photography with film, mostly using my all-time favorite Kodak Tri-X, but these days find I spend by far most of my time with digital photography. Several years ago my darkroom was replaced by scanners, Photoshop, and a photo quality printer.

Photography was an important part of my work during my career as an educator. Now that I’m retired I continue to enjoy all aspects of photography. My life has been greatly enriched through the challenges and joys of photography. Much of my current photographic activity is directed toward the creation of inspirational photographs. Read Less
