I believe public art is fundamental to community health.

Art tells the stories of who we are, have been and are yet to become. Through it humanity comes to know itself.

My goal is to create art that celebrates life, the human spirit and builds bonds between each other and the places we live, work and play.

I believe public art is fundamental to community health.

Art tells the stories of who we are, have been and are yet to become. Through it humanity comes to know itself.

My goal is to create art that celebrates life, the human spirit and builds bonds between each other and the places we live, work and play.

My commitment is to create enduring works and memorable experiences that impact individuals and communities long into the future.

My creative process is a journey of collaboration and exploration, learning and discovery. It is rooted in my love of nature, the built environment and fascination with technology and new materials. It draws from my childhood on the ocean, projects in my father’s basement shop, military service and project management for the U. S. Steel Corporation. My passion for social justice art came from sixteen years directing Art for a Child Safe America. The Foundation’s nationally recognized social activist art programs transformed the lives of youth at risk of violence in schools and prisons.
My public art is inspired by the site and purpose, its history and stories it holds. Design, fabrication and installation are often a collaborative process that includes owners, artists, design teams and the public.
