With a focus on marketing, I have more than fifteen years of experience in visual communications, graphic design, creative direction, branding and corporate identity, editorial layout, image manipulation, print and digital media.

I recently held a two year contract as Creative Advisor in the Marketing Delivery department at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and would be very interested in pursuing this exciting opportunity.

During my time at PwC I was privileged to take the lead designer role on multiple high profile, multinational campaigns, and successfully executed complex, multi-faceted print and web-based initiatives from development through to delivery. These included the “Global Entertainment and Media Outlook 2015-2019”, and both the US and the global “Total Retail and Consumer” reports.

I was also responsible for the design and development of deliverables including image aquisition, infographics, Powerpoint presentations, interactive PDFs, brochures, whitepapers and one sheets, as well as digital assets for web and social media campaigns, all of which demonstrated a thorough knowledge of PwC branding, and an understanding of the firm’s strategic and marketing objectives.

Previously, I have considerable professional experience as a graphic designer in a marketing- and sales-related role within corporations including Lockheed Martin, 21st Century Fox and Konami Digital Entertainment.

I have won multiple awards for my collaborations with Marketing and Business Development Departments to create print- and screen-based executive presentations that generated unsolicited large proposal requests.

I am highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite with a strong working knowledge of website design. I am confident that my skills, creativity and experience would meet with your requirements and be a valuable asset to your creative team.

Dear Creative Director:

Bruce Raksnys has been working as a long-term freelance designer for the PwC Creative Delivery/Marketing team since 2014. During this time I have been consistently impressed by both his design skills and his professionalism and commitment to our organization.

While working for PwC, Bruce has taken on projects that require both high levels of creativity and technical skills and frequently working under very tight deadlines. Some examples of the type of work he has been responsible for include infographics, newsletters, reports, web/social media graphics and posters/displays. He is fluent in all the appropriate graphic design software and has shown initiative in learning new skills and expanding his talents outside of traditional print-based media.

Bruce has impressed us with his creativity and also his consistent and timely communication skills. Future employers should feel confident that their requests and communications will be addressed in a timely manner and with consistent quality. I am confident that Bruce’s provencommitment to the work at our organization will transfer to his work with any future clients or employers that may seek his services.

Regards,

Donna Goodwin

Dr. Sam Hamilton
Chief Technology Officer
Lockheed Martin

Dear Creative Director:

I worked with Bruce in two companies, Lockheed Martin for several years (2002-2006), and Distributed Infinity (2006-2012). At Lockheed Martin he was the head designer for our group and several others. At Distributed Infinity we subcontracted all our design work to him. In both roles he was responsible for all promotional material, and did a lot of work with software look and feel (helping with layout, creating graphics, etc.). His work was absolutely excellent. My team did rapid prototyping of advanced technologies for government research customers, and first impression is always critical in such an environment to win government champions willing to push your technology forward. Our products consistently stood out, always attracting a crowd for demonstrations largely due to Bruce's fine work. Many of his designs were kept all the way through the productization cycle, which is rare since the product teams often feel motivated to put their own touches on things. Bruce was always in high demand, and won multiple awards for his efforts. What really helped Bruce stand out was his ability to tailor his designs to the technology being promoted. This is extremely challenging in an advanced technology group, and I would consider this his strongest technical skill.

At Lockheed Martin Bruce had a supervisory relationship with the publication department, though it was on a job by job basis not as a direct report. He was universally well liked by supervisors and peers alike, and was always very receptive to advice and criticism of his work. Even in cases where his designs had to be changed due to rather arbitrary and frequently changing global corporate policies, Bruce always handled things gracefully (more gracefully than I did frankly). In fact, I would consider this his strongest professional work trait.

His reasons for leaving were purely financial on the companies part. The branch we both worked for developed major budget problems, which triggered both of our departures. Distributed Infinity was a small research company set up by ex-Lockheed employees from that branch, and Bruce was my recommendation as the goto design consultant. I am now leaving for a new company, and should the opportunity arise with my new employer I will be recommending Bruce there as well. In my 20 years of building and promoting products, Bruce has been by far my favorite designer to work with, and I strongly recommend you hire him if you have the opportunity.

In some cases I have had to avoid getting into the specifics I would have liked due to the sensitive nature of advanced technology work for the DOD. If you would like additional information or would like me to elaborate on any point, let me know, and I would be happy to help.
