Hailing from Central New York, I've been designing since I was a small child, creating my own symbol alphabets and drawing cartoon characters for friends. In high school I had the epiphany that I could take my passion for design and use it to fuel a career. After being accepted into the Graphic Design program at the College of Saint Rose, I pushed myself further and further with each semester. With the unfortunate loss of my father, I stalled my career path and stayed at St. Rose for an extra year. I was able to really focus on my own personal skill and style and really develop a sense of what makes good design.
I was hired out of school by the Albany County Convention & Visitors Bureau as the Marketing Coordinator/Photographer. Every single piece of design that was produced at that office ran directly through me. I was completely in charge of a variety of projects that ranged from logo development, to brochures, to visitors guides, to profile sheets, to simple websites. I was also in charge of photographing events and attractions throughout the Capital Region. Those photos are still being used in the publications and on the website.
I also did a fair share of freelance projects including a variety of work for The City of Albany. That work included logo development, posters and brochure design, along with other projects.
I recently ventured north into the Burlington tundra of Vermont to progress in my career path at Bandthropology, a major marketing firm that handles some of the largest clients in the entire state. I continued to push my own work as well as the company's work to a whole new level as I took on the incredible creative workload.
After my time in Burlington, I was hired back in Albany at the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance. I currently face the task of updating the design and consistency of The State of New York, oy vey.
To make my long story short, I'm a creative thinker and visual problem solver with unforgettable endurance and a refusal to settle.
Feel free to contact me as I am certainly available for freelance work. Read Less
