I'm Amy Diaz, an alumna of the University of Central Florida journalism program's visual communication track. I also studied film and creative writing, so college was an amazing experience and I learned so much through my classes, professors, and internships.

My classes taught me about everything from composition of photos to lighting in film to designing a great web or print page to writing creative nonfiction. Overall, my education was about effective storytelling, and that's what I strive to do.

My work with the Orlando Magic's web services team has developed my design skills, thanks to the great people whom I work with. I'm able to use my visual communication education in the real world, and apply my creative eye to the building of responsive web pages and impactful graphics.

I also work as a gameday photographer shooting sports photos for ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World in addition to my work with the Orlando Magic web services team. I have no idea how the girl who was the woodwind captain of the high school marching band ended up working in sports, but it's been an amazing ride.

On the side, I enjoy reading, film, coffee, Netflix marathons, and baking cookies. Read Less
