An entrepreneur with more than 50 years of leadership experience, Phil DeZwirek is the chairman of the board and founder of the Cincinnati-based CECO Environmental Corp. Since establishing the independent pollution control company, he has overseen market capitalization from $200,000 to more than $300 million. Phil DeZwirek also serves as the president of the Ontario-based Icarus Investment Corp., and was previously the chairman of the board of API Technologies Corp. and API Electronics Group Corp. The latter firm meets the needs of clients in the aerospace and defense sectors for electronics, communications, and engineered systems.

The professional experience of Phillip DeZwirek also includes the establishment of Bata Resources in the 1970s. He consolidated a number of oil firms throughout Alberta and oversaw the company’s merger with Pan Ocean Oil. The company, which was ultimately acquired by Marathon Oil, is now worth approximately $30 billion. Phillip DeZwirek holds a position on the board of Toronto’s Mt. Sinai Hospital, and one of the building’s floors has been named in his honor, a testament to his sustained support. Read Less
