Based in Pittsburgh, James F. Getz is Chairman and CEO of TriState Capital Bank. Following a successful 30-year career in the financial services industry, Mr. Getz established TriState Capital in 2006 to cater to the needs of an underserved client base: middle market businesses. Bringing together an expert team, each of whom averages 20 years of banking experience, James F. Getz built the financial institution from the ground up. One of the fastest-growing banks in the country, TriState Capital currently has assets totaling nearly $2 billion.

Prior to founding TriState Capital Bank, James F. Getz worked in senior-level positions at a number of banks in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Beginning his banking career in 1973 as Senior Trust Officer at Philadelphia’s Girard Bank, Mr. Getz was soon promoted to Branch Manager. After serving as a Vice President at First Pennsylvania Bank from 1982 to 1985, he spent two decades as President and CEO at Federated Bank & Trust. During this time, he also became President of Federated Securities Corp. His extensive experience in the industry allowed him to establish TriState Capital Bank.

A member of the Board at Directors at King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, James F. Getz was previously on the Board of Directors at the Shadyside Hospital Foundation. He supports numerous nonprofits and religious organizations, including Little Sisters of the Poor, the Children’s Hospital Foundation, and Oakland Catholic High School in Pittsburgh. Read Less
