The Claims Bureau Limited
Digital Design Executive
As Digital Design Executive for The Claims Bureau I worked closely with senior management to cater for all digital and print media needs, including the development of marketing creatives, websites and social media.
They are a great company to work for and their business is an admirable one concentrating as it does on the legal pursuit of criminals across the globe.
The role required the usual mix of juggling projects and deadlines with creative work but also required a thorough understanding of all modern multi-media. I'd make a business-critical PowerPoint presentation one day then move on to a huge POS design or a fold-out brochure, a social media & email campaign or writing code in any one of 4 languages.
I'd even decorate the offices and commission signage! I became the go-to guy for any form of tech support and was also happy to take on the role of First Aider.
I love training staff and it was great to work with some of the brightest and best on a daily basis.

Carte Blanche Greetings Ltd
Artist
One of only four illustrators employed in-house to generate all artwork, design display units, trade stands, create new characters, toys, card ranges, collectible figurines, web content and brands.
Following a decline in the company's fortunes I took redundancy.
Responsibilities:
Drawing the company's flagship character “Tatty Teddy” but also all required characters for the major cute “My Blue Nose Friends” brand.
I'm adept in a range of packages, including SketchUp Pro, Cinema 4D, Illustrator and Photoshop, which I used daily to progress multi-million pound brands for Carte Blanche.
I have a thorough understanding of the technical demands of both print and screen media and took responsibility for both Archiving and advising the Creative team on web and reprographics issues. I enjoyed engineering efficient digital workflows as well as periodically training my colleagues in various applications and techniques.
Key Achievements:
• POPAI award in Design Excellence for a Freestanding Display Unit design.
• Conceived, developed and implemented technical advances in Studio practice, including the current digital workflow used by all CBG artists (replacing the old natural media studio artwork production).
• From October 2012 took over and developed all Carte Blanche Ltd "Blue Nosed Friends" brand artwork production.
• Developed vector parallels for both "Classic" and "Sketchbook Smiles" CBG artwork natural media brands.
• Planned and Illustrated the first two children's books produced by Carte Blanche Ltd.
