Design for local companies ranging from a logo creation and identity projects for a manufacturing company, multiple html graphic emails for a boutique/gift shop advertising sales and special promotions, and a promotional postcard design and print coordination for a cover band.

Manages media asset creation of digital art from freelance illustrators world-wide. Provide art direction, research, acquire, track, and seek approval for all media assets. Maintains accurate asset data within deadlines.

Responsibilities include design and print coordination of an average of 200 publications per year. Art direct photo shoots for various publications or graphic needs. Manage print production with in-house and outside printing vendors including requesting quotes, providing files, coordinating payment of funds, staying within print budgets and meeting deadlines. Work collaboratively with other staff designer and freelancers, as well as writers, web designers and videographers. Responsible for enforcing the visual style guide and approving appropriate logo designs on university related clothing merchandise, promotional products and vehicle signage. Have been the lead designer for 15 years with the university. Solely responsible for the recruiting, hiring, training and managing a student staff of 2-3. Designed the Ohio Northern University logo in 2001 that continues to represent the university.

Design and production of signage. Worked directly with customers to design and produce signage according to the client’s specifications.

Layout of ads, design of newsletters, programs, business cards and letterhead.

Layout and design of hospital advertising/informational literature. Responsible for proofing of documents and collaborating with outside printing vendors for duration of projects.
