A member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Tim Schmidt has a record of helping under-performing hospitals improve their financial security. From 2009 to 2013, he was CEO of Laredo Medical Center, where he focused on employee recruitment, retention, and development. Under his leadership, the hospital’s employee satisfaction rates improved from 43 percent very satisfied to over 53 percent very satisfied. In 2014, Tim Schmidt accepted a position as interim in Fort Smith, Arkansas. There, his contributions included various strategies to improve emergency room efficiency and implement a culture of safety.

Tim Schmidt has held executive positions with Scenic Mountain Medical Center, an acute-care facility in Big Spring, Texas, and with Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois. During his tenure with Scenic Mountain Medical Center, he helped tackle organizational and leadership challenges, improving public perception of the facility and ultimately reducing employee turnover from 57 percent to 20 percent.

Apart from his professional responsibilities, he pursues a wide range of hobbies that includes golfing, hunting, and following college football. An avid reader, he particularly enjoys fiction and presidential biographies. Read Less
