My love of Film and Television led me into the film industry at the age of 17, where I worked for 6 years in Production and VFX on numerous projects in Australia and New Zealand. After wanting to have a more hands on approach and a desire to create, I taught myself to use Final Cut Pro, enabling me to be able to create my own projects as well as be a part of others. I continued to push myself in other mediums and began exploring Photography. As a result, I gained opportunities to exclusively shoot for one Australia's biggest music festivals as well as shoot my first short film in Japan.
In 2011 I enrolled in Shillington College. My passion for learning and developing my skills creatively pushed me into Design. College allowed me to combine art and technology to express concepts and view design as a tool that holds many creative mediums together. I Graduated College with overall mark of 95% and gained my Certificate IV in Design. After Gradating I spent time freelancing for Vodafone, Hurley, Sunglass Hut, GoodCheer Projects, Moon Communications Group and China Lion Entertainment.
After a year of leading China Lion's Design team in Sydney, I was promoted to Lead Designer/Producer for all international territories and relocated to their head office in Los Angeles in April of 2012. I was in charge of all fundamental Design and Producing/Editing theatrical Released Film Trailers for China Lion.
In January 2013, I left China Lion to further my career in entertainment design at Cold Open. Specializing in creating print campaigns for the entertainment industry. Specifically motion picture studios and television networks. Clients include: HBO, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, FX, AMC, Cinemax, Warner Brothers, Sony Pictures, Pixar, Disney, Weinstein Company, 20th Century Fox, Epix, IFC, YouTube and more.
In January 2015, Whilst having a wide spectrum of print projects at Cold Open, I pushed myself in after hours to learn and experiment with UI and UX Design for Web and Apps. I was contacted by Ex CEO of previous employer China Lion, to lead as Creative Director to Concept, Brand, Design and Develop an On Demand streaming service similar to Netflix for Asian Cinema. I enlisted working with Vimeo’s On Demand team for infrastructure, NBCUniversal Software Architect for A.I algorithms and technology and with a Deus Ex Machina Art Director for Design and Development. Together we built a flexible working on demand payments and subscription OTT Network with over 1000+ Asian Films and TV Shows, Chopflix will launch in 2016. Read Less
