Jenk is a design office that specialises in the visualisation, development and realisation of every day products and 3 dimensional objects. The office, based in Oslo, was started in 2009 by Thomas Jenkins.

Senior Designer

Responsible for the development of products & projects in a wide range of segments and manufacturing locations for both external cli- ents and internal brands; From the mass manu- facture of protective ski wear for Skigutane
in China and locally produced post boxes for the Norwegian Post Office, to batch deliveries of a Smart Bike System and one off construc- tion of interactive light projects. Internally Frost Produkt uses sub contractors to manufacture products for their own lines, these are; house- hold products for their FP brand, Alta Bikes, a single speed bicycle brand, and Frost Profil, an aluminium profile system.

Dyson

Designer

Designed for floor-care, laundry and new prod- uct streams with responsibility for assemblies from concept through to production in Malay- sia. Initiated usability testing to iteratively de- velop human interfaces across all Dyson prod- ucts. Lectured about the Dyson design process to Les Ateliers in Paris, plus various Swiss and UK universities.

Engineering Product Design

One of the first courses in the UK to teach skill in all the key activities of the product develop- ment process. Won awards from Audi Design Foundation and Dyson for Escape, regenerative braking system for two wheeled vehicles and exhibited at New Designers 2002.
