Nuance Communications creates software products offered across a plethora of platforms. From healthcare, to productivity, to automotive automation. The Project Management Intern in the Healthcare Division worked alongside the Research and Development, Product Development, and Product Delivery teams to assist in the optimization and delivery of Nuance’s products. Creating efficiencies and optimization processes to help streamline resource use and access among the different departments to ensure a secure product rollout.

Assisted 3 professors in 4 Design Foundations studio classes with curriculum, projects, materials, student interaction, demonstration, and critique of 20 students aged 15-18.

Managed usage of computer lab, maintenance of equipment, inventory, and troubleshooting. Worked with 16 Independent Mac Pro workstations.

Drawing on its historic contribution to responsible, human-centered design, Industrial Design (or ID) teaches students to use critical thinking and the design process itself to bring new value to companies, communities and citizens. Professors with expertise in a wide range of areas guide students in researching user experiences to create well-conceived and executed objects, products and systems that make everyday tasks easier.

User Interfaces and User Experiences at Brown University covered concepts in human-computer interaction that focus on designing user interfaces. Topics included understanding when to use different interfaces, modeling and representing user interaction, principles of user experience design, eliciting requirements and feedback from users, methods for designing and prototyping interfaces, and user interface evaluation.
