Taeyoung derives inspiration for his furniture and object design from his experiences living in the United States, France, Australia and South Korea. He designs objects maximizing functionality and incorporates a touch of humor. Currently, Taeyoung's interested in underscoring the social role of design in his practice.

Taeyoung took part in a Vitra Design Museum Workshop at Boisbuchet France in 2014 and graduating with a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in May 2015.

Involved in the entire process, creating a wide variety of furniture. Designed Peterson end table "Peterson" currently featured in Dock 312. Assisted with construction, manufacturing using CNC fabricating machine and design configuration.

Vitra Museum Workshop in Boisbuchet Summer Workshop.
Worked closely with interior deigner in creation of the display model of Chateau de Boisbuchet. Assisted in the maintenance and organization studio areas. responsible for installation of all designed objects.
