Design and layout of Hillside-Quadra Community News

The Hillside-Quadra Community News is a small community newspaper which is published quarterly through Quadra Village Community Centre. I was there right from the start of the paper in it's current format and designed it from scratch. Freelance Graphic Designer

Poster cylinder banners for the Hillside-Quadra neighbourhood. I was approached to do this after my adaption of the existing neighbourhood branding to the former masthead of Hillside-Quadra Community News earlier in the same year.

Freelance Logo Designer

Taste the Tube map logo. This involved creating a logo that loosely resembles the London Underground logo for a unique mapping project in the UK.

HitRECord

Participation in collaborative art and design challenges.

hitRECord is an new kind of online community that works together as a production company to produce anything from books and other printed material to short films.

Self Built And Maintained Website

Design and maintenance of my own website.

I used the website builder by Jimdo.com. It started with a template from which I removed and replaced all the page elements to completely customize the layout for my needs. This did not require coding knowledge.

Graphic Design Mentorship

I started out in about 2001 designing posters for my local community centre with the mentorship of a former staff member who had a background in graphic design as a way of learning what goes into good design.

Self Taught In Photoshop

I got my first copy of Photoshop in February 2011 and have been loving it since day one. I know it well but like many things in life, you never really stop learning as a designer or artist.
