Charles Trentman "Trent" Burleson (born 1952) is a painter and professor at the Rhode Island School of Design. He functioned in Rome as Chief Critic of RISD's European Honors Program in 1985. His paintings have been widely exhibited throughout the country and are part of many private, public, and corporate collections. His work has been extensively reviewed and included in many magazines, journals, and books. Besides being included in a collection of the best illustration in the country, American Illustration 3, one of his paintings was used as the cover of the celebrated writer Raymond Carver's last book, "Where I'm calling From".
