The photographic work of TARONA focuses itself on internal invisible processes and how these manifest themselves externally. Paradox often plays a silent protagonist within the work. In her work method she approaches her subjects from a voyeuristic perspective.

This approach developed itself through the many travels she went on with her parents from a young age; it was a method with which she was able to place herself into the context of a place where she found herself at that moment, wherever she was. By looking closely and asking a lot of questions, there was a sense of understanding and from there, grew a sense of control. She no longer needed to be afraid; unfamiliar places, people and their appearances suddenly became a domain of discovery.

This urge for control, and the removal of fears, manifests itself constantly her work. It enables her to come closer to her subjects of choice, to isolate them and, thus, removing them from the context in which they found themselves originally. This allows her to deeper analyse her subject and have an influence on it.
