Tala Kernan is a designer and art director based in NYC. Her work focuses on the creation of immersive brand experiences from the ground up, and celebrates architecture, lifestyle, design, urban development and the arts.

Tala studied Graphic Design at Pratt Institute. She is originally from Portland Oregon, where she grew up making paper dolls in Adobe Illustrator.

As part of a boutique branding and 3D visualization agency with a focus on high-profile real estate development, my involvement as an Art Director touches on all phases and applications of the brands we create. As a core member of DBOX’s creative department, my role involves both independent work and participation in managing our team of support designers, with a focus on growing and enhancing our department.
• Responsibilities include working directly with clients such developers, architectural firms, interior designers, marketing agents and cultural institutions
• Brand positioning and comparative marketplace research; naming strategy and participating in the ideation of immersive showroom experiences
• Contrinution to a number of organizational systems that have optimized collaboration with our digital programmers, production designers, clients, project managers and a/v specialists
• Design applications include a range of brand visuals including logos, typography, stationery suites, books, iconography, maps and floor plans; bespoke packaging solutions for packaged collateral, bags and folders; strategy, wire framing and interface design for complete responsive websites, and content creation for interactive exhibitions
