I am a senior art director/designer with a focus on creating modern and engaging work. I’m a big picture thinker who looks at all the small details.

My career has spanned a wide variety of clients and strategic disciplines and includes working across mediums to create a full brand experience for both B to B and B to C in agency, corporate, and non-profit environments. I partner with multidisciplinary team members to create strong visual narratives that can be implemented across different platforms that are aligned with strategic business goals with outcomes that can be measured.

I synthesize effective methods and technologies to facilitate creative solutions and collaboration, consolidate various research strategies and tactics into their design thinking and processes as well as formulate, evaluate and actively defend a design proposal and strategy for business and/or clients. I can successfully execute programs within established budgets and time frames, on strategy from concept through execution. I have a clear understanding of the client’s business, needs, expectations, and requirements with the ability to maintain self-motivation and to work independently and in team environments.

I work directly with clients and other team members to help define the scope of work and project goals as well as coming up with methods for new work by demonstrating top-quality design skills in addition to providing leadership and structure for other creatives, collaboration across departments to improve process, and managing the overall workflow of a department. This includes defining visual brand strategy, art direction, working with designers, animators, photographers, illustrators, and other team members. I often lead client presentations, working closely with various teams including UX, developers and junior and senior staff. Projects include branding development and implementation, identity design and naming, packaging, advertising, environmental design, exhibit design, wayfinding, data visualization, annual reports, advertising and new media.

I collaborate with other creatives and professionals to solve design problems outside the traditional practice. As a creative, I am influenced by everything that I come upon. Not just in the field of communication design, but in textiles, architecture and other creative and professional disciplines. I like to learn about the cultural anthropology around us and find inspiration can come from anywhere, anyone and anything. It’s best to keep your eyes and ears open, and always keep a curious mind. As a true minimalist,
I believe that less is more. Communication does not mean including everything. But it does mean getting the message heard and understood. Sometimes you can say more by not saying anything, and bigger does not always mean better.

There can be much said about the importance of white space. Giving the viewer room to pause and take it all in. My work is very organized, heavy influenced by the Swiss Design Style, with a strong sense of color and organic elements to create works that are contemporary and connect on a personal level to those that come in contact with it. Iteration and ideation go hand in hand. A strong creative brief, a clear grasp on a client’s goals and expectations will set the stage for the beginning of creative which always includes an exploration of different ideas.
