Susan Campbell is a teaching assistant for Research Methodologies for Graphic Designers at OCAD University. She also worked as a research assistant for the CPRM (Confronting Pain: Redefining Mobility) project at OCAD University.

As part of her thesis work for the Interdisciplinary Masters in Art, Media and Design at OCADU, she is investigating and developing mark-making processes which serve as notational methods for transcribing our movement in space. Diagrammatic practices form an important component of her research as they have the potential to transform methods already employed within both her graphic design and artistic practice.

Susan is engaged in challenging the conventions that have built up within her design practice, and learning new methodologies by combining traditional drawing with semi-industrial materials. By employing a range of mark-making processes, she explores a territory where disparate crafts or techniques might complement or enhance each other. Read Less
