My main role was to mirror the production manager in order to learn the in’s and out’s of the production role. My daily work included creating production order using company’s internal database for local and oversees vendors. Also, meeting with vendors in the garment district to deliver and pick up new projects, communicate expectations, check finished projects. Following up with editors at high-end publications; Vogue, Harper’s Bazar, NYT to call back press loans and track samples.

I supervised students while they used studio equipment, maintained safety of torches and tools, kept track of studio tools loaned to students, advised students who were faced with design or technical problems, and executed weekly and daily tasks for the overall cleanliness, safety, and security of the studio.

My role was to maintain a jewelry studios, make prototypes and collection pieces by hand, meet manufacuters, create line sheets, photograph jewelry and employ aspects of social media and marketing
