Stef Carr

My work is predicated upon the knowledge that, in this finite human experience, we are often helpless but never hopeless. My imagery, while not ignorant of the world’s brokenness, focuses on the ways in which it is being redeemed. I utilize the medium of photography to construct narratives.I have become convinced of the importance of an individual’s story, as well as their progression within a larger and more beautiful narrative. Darkroom photography mimics this concept, in that the process itself is important. It plays a vital role in the evolution and depth of a finished piece.
