One Week Placement: Assisting Dublin based stylist, Niamh O’Rourke, and exhibiting craft items in the trend exhibition area of the show.

Two week work experience working with Children from De La Salle National School in Ballyfermot, the full-time teaching staff gave us full control with creating a short term art programme for the children to part take in. The programme we created included creative clay projects, group activities with mixed media, and mini exhibition for the children to invite family after school hours. The project for older children in 4th-6th classes involved designing and completing a mural for their playground area, with initial brainstorming events to see what the children wanted to see in their play area.
This experience was incredibly rewarding, and our art programme gave the full-time teaching staff ideas for their own art periods with their class.

Volunteer work for the Galway Arts Festival 2010 for various venues which included The Black Box, The Druid Theater, The Galway Boat Club, The Radisson Blu Hotel and The Festival Big Top.

Two days working for the Crafts Council of Ireland as a careers guidance advisor promoting careers in Craft and Design to second level students.

Achieved a First Class Honours
