Sarah’s artistic style takes many forms, though she specializes in illustration. She prefers to work with Ink, Water Color, Linoleum Block Printing, Acrylic Paint, as well as various Graphic Design programs. She graduated from Otis College of Art and Design in 1999, with a degree in Illustration, and has illustrated two children’s books, entitled “What You Have Now ... What Your Daddy Had Then (2002)” and “What You Have Now ... What Your Mommy Had Then (2002)”. She has several more projects in the works; too many to list.

Her inspirations include Hieronymus Bosch, Savlidor Dali; Pen and ink artists such as Edward Gorey, Aubrey Beardsley, Mucha and Erte, Maurice Sendak and many more. Her work can range from bright and cheery to dark and macabre, always with the same loving attention to detail.

There is never a time when she can remember not being an artist. From the time she was a child she began discovering and developing her talents. By the time she reached second grade, she knew she wanted to be an artist. While working on a drawing, she simply paused, and announced “I’m gonna be an artist when I grow up!” Undeterred by warnings of the ‘starving artist’ lifestyle, she set out to make her dream a reality, and never looked back. Her Mother and Father have been two of her greatest sources of encouragement, and have always stood behind her in support.

"I can't really imagine not being an artist,” says Sarah. “It's like I have to. That I’d feel empty without it." Read Less
