I'm a Guatemalan photojournalist. In the beginning, I shot landscapes and still do. I became a professional photojournalist in 2014 and at the start of 2016, I launched with a friend the visual magazine www.comvite.com . My work is focused on migration, climate change, culture and traditions, news events, and natural disasters. I documented the migrant caravans from 2018-2020 and the expulsions from the US to the Guatemalan border in 2021. I also documented the Eta and Iota hurricane aftermath in 2020. In 2018 I covered the eruption of Fuego. In 2023 I covered the Guatemala election and the aftermath of the election.
My photography work has been published in: The Associated Press, EFE, AFP, NY Times, The Economist, Vice, Time Magazine.
I also contribute to the AP and Aljazeera as a videographer.
