I'm Robert Witchger, a designer and illustrator based in Raleigh, North Carolina.

I was born in Saginaw, Michigan in 1980 and spent the majority of my childhood in Cary, North Carolina after my family moved there in 1988. I went to East Carolina University, graduated with a BFA in 2002, and then relocated to Raleigh. I am currently the senior designer at NC State University Communications, where I work on projects for a variety of colleges, departments, and units, as well as the university’s central marketing efforts.

My past clients include GlaxoSmithKline; Cree, Inc.; InterAct non-profit; pop star Clay Aiken; and Bobbitt DesignBuild. Honors bestowed on my work include several CASE (Council for the Advancement and Support of Education) Awards of Excellence, several AAF RDU Addy Awards, and a Webby award.

Among my other interests are drawing and painting; playing the guitar, drums, piano, banjo, and ukulele, which I have done all my life in various (usually short-lived) bands; gardening; biking; and attempting various home construction and repair projects.

My wife Stephanie, daughter Adeline, and I live in Raleigh’s downtown area. Read Less
