Richie Chen

Product Designer

New York, NY, USA
I’m a New York-based user-centric product designer that uses strategy to guide people and businesses to thrive through experiences. My affinity towards technology, merged with my passion for sketching and crafting, drives me to be in a continuous process of creative experimentation. Having grown up in an art and design culture, the friends and mentors that I've interacted with in my work, inspire me to be adaptive, empathic and communicative, leaning towards user research to contextualize a problem for well-informed solutions.

As a personalist with a design thinking approach exploring human behavior as my main medium, I strive to facilitate utilitarian solutions. My industrial design background within products and retail enlightens me to pay substantial attention to tactility of materials and spatial awareness, understanding user experience as a physical product alongside digital service, having an inclination to design ambient experiences that respond to user journeys to conceptualize fulfilling experiences.
