Rebeca Méndez Design (RMD) is a multidisciplinary studio focused on design for art, architecture and other cultural clients as well as for nonprofit organizations. RMD’s practice is in various areas of design including brand strategy and design, architectural immersive spaces, interface design, way-finding systems, experience design, advertising, and book design.

Rebeca Méndez is the recipient of the 2012 Cooper Hewitt National Design Award in Communication Design. She has received numerous awards, including a Platinum and Gold Awards from Graphis; Merit Awards from the Art Directors Club NY, the Type Directors Club NY and The One Club NY; numerous 50 Books/50 Covers and Awards of Excellence from AIGA, and a Bronze Medal from the Leipzig Book Art Competition.

RMD’s clients include Gehry Partners, MIT Press, Caltech, MOCA, SFMOMA, Architecture and Design Museum (A+D), The Guggenheim Museum in Berlin, The Getty Center, Microsoft, Sony, EDS, Imaginary Forces, Young & Rubicam, Thames & Hudson, Peace Over Violence, California Historical Society, Ben Frost, Latino Brands Inc., Sami Hayek Studio, ARK Restaurants, Morphosis, and Hanover World Expo 2000.

As creative director and head of Brand Integration Group (BIG) for Ogilvy & Mather, LA, Rebeca Méndez led global branding projects for clients such as IBM, AT&T Wireless, Trend Micro, Motorola, Mattel Barbie and Hot Wheels, British Petroleum ‘BP’ and Symantec.
