Ramil Lantican is a Filipino artist who engages in multiple multimedia disciplines such as Film, Photography, and Art Direction. He discovered his passion for the arts during his years studying in Asia Pacific College and took the course of Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Arts. The school and its faculty encouraged him to pursue a career in the creative industry and helped him developed his skills in various artistic fields. His determination, focus, and passion while doing school work were noticed by one of his mentors, Jaime Pacena II, and this led to an opportunity to become an Art Director for a music video of the song “Balita (News)” by Gloc 9 ft. Gabby Alipe that was televised in a local Philippine network in 2009.

Since then he has been involved in various projects for different clientele. One project, “Pag-usbong ni Juan (Emerging Juan) won the Best Documentary Video award in a nationwide documentary video competition organized by the Department of Labor and Employment in 2014. He also participated in a number of art exhibits where he incorporated video art installation as a story-telling device.

In 2015, he made a video installation titled “Ika-labing Pitong Taon (17th year)” for a group exhibit at Nineveh Art Space in Sta. Cruz, Laguna. In 2016, he was chosen to be a judge for the Mobile Photography and Video Art Competition sponsored by Power Mac Center and Mind Tap Studios in which he viewed hundreds of entries from around the country. He was also asked to be a Resource Speaker in a seminar-workshop on digital video editing conducted for the student of St. Paul College Manila in August 2016, during which he shared his thoughts on achieving one’s fullest potential through passion, curiosity, and pro-activeness.
