Exhibit Designer

Responsibility included producing two and three-dimensional temporary and permanent exhibits, and to managing the workflow of the exhibit design process. I helped lead and manage the workflow of the team.I worked with the Director of Exhibits and the Exhibits Manger to integrate content development, exhibit development and production schedules to ensure that projects were completed according to plan. Working collaboratively with the Director of Exhibits I was responsible for the planning and design of exhibitions, renderings, drawings, scale models, lighting and arrangements of objects and signage, and submitted proposals for review. I also help to develop, manage and orchestrate a plan of implementing exhibit projects, coordinate and supervise contractors, work with governmental agencies, and supervise exhibit graphic design interns and volunteers and was accountable for the success of the design team. I worked collaboratively as a team member with the exhibition staff, outside exhibit content developers, fabricators, members of other departments, and various other outside contractors to produce new exhibit designs and graphics for various Museum needs. I also assisted with graphic design and production, and exhibit installation. The position also had responsibility for coordinating design work, ordering supplies, maintaining the reference and samples library, and organizing and archiving design files and prints. I worked with other departments including the collections, education, facilities and developmenI also worked with, supported the Marketing Department relating to the Museum Brand to establish and maintain standards of Museum identity. The position will upheld industry best practices and standards regarding image usage, rights, and credits, and follow the Museum branding standards where appropriate.
