Graduating with a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in 96, I have continued to enjoy making images. Since graduation, I attended the Illustration Academy under such instructors as Mark English, Anita Kuntz, and Gary Kelly. I have received recognition from the Illustrators club of Maryland, Adobe Achievement awards, and the Richmond Illustrators club. I moved to New York after being accepted into the School of Visual Arts masters program under the instruction of Marshall Arisman where my thesis was heavily influenced around the theme of myth. As a recent graduate, I continue to master skills of craft, storytelling while teaching at New York Institute of Technology, showing at various group shows and working on various freelance projects.

My work focuses on figurative work that have a sense of duality and something that isn't too straight forward. My process uses a combination of ink and brush along with digital enhancements. I paint when time allows. Animals, nature, women, science fiction and fantasy are also subjects of interest. More work can be seen at my web site www.oobust.com Read Less
