Nicole Flores, owner and lead designer of Studio Savoie has been creating custom imagery for start up companies, weddings and events, local business and custom retail design for over 10 years. A native of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Nicole spent 19 years in New York and the East Coast learning and building her talent. In 2010, she moved her business back to her hometown while maintaining client relationships from all over the country. Nicole's vast life experience and open-minded approach creates a functional and client-specific product for every project she takes on.
Nicole has worn many professional hats in her adult life. She has worked as a nanny, bookkeeper, personal assistant, veterinary technician, secretary, fashion trade show coordinator, spa manager, assistant to executive chef, art director, yoga studio manager, print shop floor manager and makeup artist; many of these overlapping with one another and always including graphic design.
She studied art history and philosophy, graphic design, business accounting, event planning and makeup artistry. Nicole's ever-expanding curiosity and open mindedness has created a knowledge base that not only proves essential in her work, but allows for an efficient and affective style of working.
Since moving back to Michigan, Studio Savoie and Nicole have built a strong connection with the community of her hometown. Nicole is very active in supporting her daughter's high school cheer team, has created non-gratis collateral for many community benefits, has created all the display advertising for the local newspapers and built a solid returning clientele among the local businesses. She has donated many items to local charities and has grown a solid reputation for integrity and personal attention.
Problem solving, budget monitoring and a God-given talent for creating beautiful imagery are Nicole's strongest points. Additionally, she is smart, organized and efficient all while maintaining her Midwest personality. Her door is always open, and she is always willing to share what she can with anyone in need.
My name is Nicole and I am a single mother, graphic designer, craft and hobby enthusiast, and devoted Yooper. My daughter, Eva is my greatest accomplishment, and I work every day to make her world a better place. Design of all forms has been a passion of mine since childhood, and my biggest goal is to teach Eva that when you find your passion, you should learn every single thing you can about it and make a life that supports you out of it. If you can achieve that and help others in the process, you'll never spend one day unfulfilled.
