My name is Nichole Camarillo. I am an artist operating out of the San Francisco Bay Area. Although I try my hand at photography, video, writing, and design... My main source of creative expression is paint. As a standard, I tend to favor oils on canvas, but have been experimenting with different mediums as my style evolves. As far as subject matter, my family, culture, sex, loves and losses all take turns illuminating their presence in my work.

If you are interested in viewing more of my art, learning more about what I do (or about me personally), you would very much benefit from visiting my website. http://www.nicholecamarillo.com Read Less

I am currently working on the second installment of my project "Art Never Dies". It's a really cool portrait series focusing on dead celebrity artists. Initially there were 5 paintings in this project. The line up was: Frida Kahlo, Marilyn Monroe, Bruce Lee, Mac Dre, Michael Jackson. These paintings have all been released and are currently available as Limited Edition Prints. You can view these portraits and purchase prints through my website.

This coming round of portraits have not yet been announced. More news to come, please check back soon. You can also keep updated on this project and each new release by following my blog, liking me on Facebook, or following me on Twitter. Thanks! :)

Words from first installment: "I'm trying a few new things with this project. The style these portraits are being created in is far more minimal than what you would usually see from me. The technique is also very new for me. In order to achieve the look and feel I envision for these portraits, I have been haphazardly layering paint over masked sections made with stencil cut outs I have created for each individual artist. Sort of a 'controlled chaos'. The subject matter is also new to me. This is the first time I am attacking portraits, much less well-known people.

I am also inviting you in to watch me paint some of these portraits. I will be recording my painting process and releasing time-lapse videos with the corresponding portraits." Read Less
I have found great motivation, inspiration, and connections here on Behance. To be surrounded by such great talent works as a driving force to do more and be more.

I am currently interested in all creative and networking opportunities. Please feel free to contact me. Thank you.
