Working directly with one of our customers internal marketing department, I help
create solutions in the visual branding and marketing of the company. The creative
delivery is found in creation and maintenance of brand standards, marketing
materials, trade-show displays, branding of their global annual conference, internal
communications, keynote presentations, and product marketing campaigns–to name
a few. Also, creating digital marketing assets such as web banners, social media and
corporate website.

Wanting to make it on our own, my wife (a photographer) and I started Myrick Studios. A full service design, consulting, print and photography studio. After doing
so for some years, we decided that we enjoyed the benefits of health insurance found
more commonly in the corporate world. So, although the business is still active, it’s
existence is basically for the occasional freelance to keep the creative juices flowing.

McNeil purchased my families print and sign shop. In so doing, they hired me to bring
the world of large format printing and graphic design to their business. While
managing and also performing production for the sign shop, I also consulted with
and created branding and marketing materials for customers.

Worked with clients to create new company branding, business collateral, catalogs,
posters, event signage, wedding invitations and more. Also facilitated day-to-day
operations on the production floor, and managed the full service digital printing and
sign shop.

Taught students in the Associate of Applied Science Graphic Design program. Courses taught were graphic design, typography, color theory, software applications,
web design, packaging and branding, and portfolio creation. I was also on the
Advisory Council for the school of Graphic Arts for 4 years.

Responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design of solutions. Created branding, marketing materials, catalogs, product packaging and websites for
several nationwide brands; as well as oversaw the printing and fulfillment of our
clients materials.
