To hone my skills as a front end web developer I often look for ways to learn new platforms, code best practices/languages, and/or workflow tools. Recently I have been helping a friend with his business using Weebly to provide web solutions for his clients.

Design, build and maintain websites with HTML, CSS, light PHP and WordPress. Some use of jQuery and JavaScript repurposed for our clients from other found examples, as needed.
Domain name acquisition or transfer if needed. Mostly with 1&1, but also with GoDaddy, Network Solutions, and several other providers.
Website hosting. Mostly with 1&1, but also GoDaddy (some with VPS using Plesk & some with Shared Hosting plan). FTP via Dreamweaver and sometimes directly through the hosting dashboard.
Design logos, info graphics, buttons and other website use media using mostly Photoshop, and also InDesign, and Illustrator.
Build responsive websites with WordPress and/or using media queries with HTML and CSS.
Build jQuery mobile versions of websites.
Research code, design, and SEO best practices to stay on top of current trends and policies.
Test websites and mobile sites on multiple platforms, browsers and devices to ensure cross compatibility.
Meet weekly with web team and boss to go over current and upcoming projects and brainstorm strategy, new techniques, different and/or new application and ever changing best practices for SEO, building websites, and creating the best user experiences possible and to meet our client’s needs.
