Work Experience

BitCake Studio

2D Artist & Designer

I started BitCake Studio with 5 other amazing developers from Rio de Janeiro and we've been on an adventure to be able to make a living of our own game, Project Tilt, and to prove that Free to Play can be done in a nice, fair and healthy way.

In the meantime we've been selected to GameFounders, a games-only startup accelerator in Europe, and lived and worked together for 5 months in Europe meeting all kinds of people from the games industry and gathering as much knowledge as possible.

We also won a contest organized by Skymobi, a big publisher in China, and won a trip to visit their headquarters. In this opportunity I had the chance to visit China and get to know a bit of the games market there while representing BitCake.

Now we're working hard to get Project Tilt to Steam and go on with our dream! :)

LUZ.vc

Designer

LUZ.vc is a startup focused on making digital products to help small businesses with their company management.
My job was to create all the graphic materials and webdesigns that the company needed. There, I created work that ranged from facebook images to a whole e-commerce redesign.

I also wrote for their blog and designed some Infographics that were a delight to make (I developed a love for designing them!) and also got a lot of shares on LUZ's blog.

Não Deixe A Júlia Ir Embora Movie

Head of Animation / Project Coordinator

I was part of a team working on a hand-drawn feature film animation. It was an indie film with some budget, and I was hired to be one of the animators, in charge of drawing over every frame of the movie in a specific style (rotoscopy). I later became project coordinator and helped organizing the team and prioritizing everyone's actions.

Empresa Júnior PUC-Rio

Graphic/Web Designer / Project Manager

Empresa Júnior PUC-Rio is a company formed by students of PUC-Rio, one of the biggest universities in Rio de Janeiro. I started there as a trainee, the only one working in two different divisions (IT and Graphic design) because I had knowledge of pragramming simple websites and basic graphic design.

After six months I had stopped being a trainee to be a designer, and soon Project Manager. In this role I worked in many different jobs creating web and/or graphic design materials for small businesses, on which I had to manage the clients, the team, and project planning. That was a great experience where I learned a LOT and got a small taste of entrepreneurship that led me to want to open my own company! :)
