Michelle Corley

Graphic Designer

Pensacola, FL, USA
Clever girl who enjoys design, problem-solving, research, copy writing, teamwork and long walks on the beach - seeks same.

That pretty much sums it up. I'm looking to create relevant and engaging work. Tackle marketing and branding problems using the tools I have, ideally expanding that set as I go. No checking my brain at the door. Meaningful, challenging work - that's my intention.

Work Experience

Munson Group

Designer and Thinker

My responsibilities with this full-service advertising agency were fluid, requiring an assortment of hats. Primarily, I donned the smashing fedora of “ graphic designer ”- responsible for everything from logo development to print advertising and web design. Alongside these duties I also produced broadcast spots, handling all motion graphics and post-production. A broken-in baseball cap sat on my desk too- worn for the down and dirty duties of promotion. It was often turned backwards while researching and crafting agency blog articles, developing client strategy ideas and studying the always evolving social media world.

Regardless of the work - it was all done from my Florida home office.

Jerry Campo's Fine Print

Without question, my work as a designer for this well-respected print shop honed my ability to solve a design problem quickly. Varied clients (churches, civic organizations, myriad small businesses, etc), consistently tight turnarounds and the expectation of high level of design made this a challenging, but satisfying, work experience. And with every assignment, my pre-press knowledge and understanding of efficient print production grew.

My work as a "remote" employee began with this job. I was tethered to the shop via Instant Message and phone calls. This was a learning experience for us both. Through it we discovered how productive a designer could be with significantly less chaos and interruptions.

Ken Juneau & Associates

It began with an internship and evolved into a full-time job. As an older college student, I understood the relevance of landing an internship at this highly regarded advertising agency. When that ended, I transitioned through part-time work while finishing school and ultimately became a full-fledged member of the design department. From my converted closet office, I produced logo designs, developed brochures, posters and other print pieces, contributed ads to regional campaigns, wrote radio scripts and whatever else was asked of me.

I left the agency when I moved to Florida. Thankfully, our relationship and my reputation within the company held firm. Thankfully, our relationship and my reputation within the company held firm. Ken Juneau & Associates evolved to become my current employer - Munson Group.

Louisiana College

Bachelor of Arts

College began for me as it does for many 18 year-olds - right out of high school. Three years into a degree in journalism, with jobs at radio and television stations - I quit. Love - and a love for playing music - moved me to Virginia. As with many young romances, the shine faded under the harsh lights of reality. However, my day job at a print shop in Williamsburg gave me new career direction. The spring of '96 I returned to Louisiana College and finished my Bachelor of Arts as a Design major.
