Projects

Steelcase Legal Department space:
We used design thinking methods to arrive at a dramatic floorplan compression and consolidation strategy. Lead sensor studies, user observations and workshops to gather qualitative and quantitative data. I was responsible in synthesizing these to design principles that would guide our space planning methodology.

Steelcase Learning Center Staff space:
While the goal of the project was to create a working showroom of two new furniture lines, the resulting office had to resonate as an authentic user centered design experience. We utilized a user centered design process. My responsibilities in this project started in the research and understand phase with observations, surveys, workshops, and synthesis. My work continued through the design phase with floorplans, 3D models, material selection, installation drawings and furniture specifications.

Product Evaluation:
Evaluate future European product line “Next” and validate planning principles. Collaborate with a global team. Lead: validation and discovered missed opportunities within the product line.

Application Design:
Harder Working Spaces, Connections, and AP40 were developed to respond to consumer needs and trends. Research applied to design applications for marketing that will be used in the field by dealer designers. Lead: Assembling research, drawings, floorplans, 3D models, specifications, project management and coordinating designs with marketing communications for Planning Ideas on Steelcase.com.

Global Headquarters and Showrooms:
Assisted in the design of the Steelcase Seattle, San Francisco showrooms, Headquarters Lobby, Customer Retreat, Leadership Collaborative, and CEO Ceremonial Office. I oversaw renovation and installation, updated furniture applications with frameworks for the future generations of mobile work. I assembled installation documents and furniture specifications.
