Michael Schamis, a former business development officer/analyst and vice president of communications at MarketCounsel, spent two years driving content strategy, handling e-mail marketing campaigns, and leading competitive analyses at the business consulting firm. Along with his experience in marketing, Michael Schamis is proficient in a variety of computer programs and social media platforms, including Facebook, SurveyGizmo, Adobe Creative Suite, and Salesforce.

Schamis began his career in 2006, performing duties as a student assistant for the New York University Department of Sports Information. At the same time, he was working on his bachelor of arts in economics, which he received in 2009. He then took on an internship at 5W Public Relations within their consumer division before starting a role as a marketing intern for the New Jersey Devils in 2011. By May of the same year, Schamis had earned his MBA in sports and entertainment management from Hofstra University’s Frank G. Zarb School of Business, at which time he accepted his most recent position at MarketCounsel.

In his free time, Michael Schamis enjoys reading, traveling, cooking, and attending New York theater productions with his wife. Read Less
