Professional Bio:

I am the former Interim Chair and Associate Professor of Graphic Design at the New England Institute of Art, teaching courses in graphic design, web design, Flash animation for Motion Graphics and Environmental Graphic Design. I also run BluePrint Studio which is our full service in-house graphic design business for non-profit clients that include the Aids Action Committee and the Boy Scouts of America.

I am an award winning professional working in the design fields of graphic design, web, interactive educational museum design, advertising, presentation design and Environmental Graphic Design. I have been a professional designer for 30 years and I have been teaching design at the college level for 22 years.

Working as a Professor, I am also a hands-on designer that creates award winning strategic design for a variety of clients, that have included, IBM, Fidelity Investments, Philips, Blue Cross Blue Shield, American Express, The Wall Street Journal, Dana Farber and Joslin Diabetes Center.

Prior to my career in education, I worked as the Design Director at WBZ-TV 4 in Boston, designing and directing the on-air graphics and animation department. My work has been seen locally as well as nationally, on the Discovery Channel, Arts & Entertainment, WGBH, The Learning Channel and currently on an Emmy award winning educational show airing on WGBHKids in Boston.

I have also held the position of Creative Director at one of the countries leading Hi-Tech PR firms, Brodeur Worldwide. During my experience at Brodeur we won Agency of the Year, and my design team won a First place at the MIMC Awards, the Massachusetts Interactive Multi Media Council.

I received an Editor’s Choice Award from the National Association of Photoshop Professionals and my work was published in the March 2012 issue of Photoshop User Magazine.

My interactive educational work has been displayed in museums across the country. I have created interactive experiences for the following museums:
