My passion for design stems from both music and art. When I was young, you could always find me painting, sewing, drawing, and taking photos. Interestingly enough, I didn’t realize that this was my passion. So, my creative brain took a little nap as I pursued hospitality management for a few years. A housekeeping job, a summer at Disney World and a restaurant management job was all it took for me to realize that the hospitality industry was not where I wanted to be.

While growing up, I was (and still am) a huge fan of the magazine NYLON. Their crazy layouts and ability to combine fashion, music and design was so inspiring that I decided to apply for the graphic design program at Vancouver College of Art and Design. It was there that I came face to face with my true vocational love: publication design.

Once I graduated with my diploma in graphic design, I found myself working at a print shop where I gained invaluable knowledge and experience (let the record state: print is not a dying industry!). I currently work at a print shop part time while I focus all my creative energy building my design company, Meen Design Studio, with my business partner as well as working with freelance clients to help them achieve their design goals!
