Born and bred in Manchester (UK), Matt's interest in computers and video games spilled over into design and the internet.
Starting working life during 2001 in a multi-disciplinary design agency, where Matt mostly worked with print and branding, he made the move over to the world of "new media" after teaching himself how to code.
Subsequent roles in Manchester-based agencies revolved around web design and interaction design, before he accepted an offer to move further North.
Taking up a position at one of the world's longest-running browser app development companies, Opera Software workloads ranged from web design and front-end development through to branding and marketing.
Nowadays, Matt can be found walking the hallways of Microsoft, where he also works on UI/UX elements in the Microsoft Office suite and product range.
