Work Experience

Addepar

Senior Designer / Creative Lead

As part of Addepar's growing communication design team I manage relationships between internal design and partner teams to promote open lines of communication and collaboration between our Mountain View, New York City, and Salt Lake City offices. In working with these teams my goal is to produce effective, brand consistent design materials for internal and external audiences that align our partner teams with their own objectives and company goals. Addepar is a unique company where design touches many corners of the organization and responsibilities span from designing internal team logos to full fledged marketing campaigns. While a Senior Designer in my first year I led the design of effective marketing campaigns that included printed collateral, presentations, emails, and landing pages aimed at prospective and current clients.

AMain

Graphic Designer

As part of the AMain creative team, I worked to develop effective digital and print advertisements, marketing collateral, and product design and packaging for our two proprietary brands. I led the redesign of our logo, branding, and website to better align with the company’s transition from an online hobby center to a global performance sports and hobby retailer. A large number of diverse and creative materials came out of collaboration with our copywriting, photography, digital marketing and product development teams.

Skybolt Studios

Graphic Designer

Was one of two lead designers at Skybolt, a full-service design agency that specialized in product management, design, and development. My primary focus was branding and web design. Other services I provided for our clients included logo design, social media engagement, and product packaging.

Grant Peterson Design

Production Designer

Held a temporary position assisting Grant Peterson with overflow work. Specifically, I assisted with catalog and look-book design for high-end furniture designers from around the country. While working in both print and digital mediums, most of my time was spent updating and converting catalogs from Illustrator to InDesign.

Sacramento News & Review

Graphic Designer

Worked closely with sales representatives in the News & Review’s Sacramento, Chico and Reno offices to create effective advertisements that met the specific needs of each client. While there, I perfected my ability to meet quick turnarounds and strict, weekly deadlines. Additionally, I assisted the Art Director with client supplements, promos, and special events collateral. After leaving my full-time position in April 2012, I continue to work with the News and Review on a freelance basis to create special publication inserts that promote various organizations and special events.

ChicoBag

Graphic Designer

While at ChicoBag, I took a pre-existing logo and used it to create palette and brand guidelines, ensuring consistent branding through all avenues of communication. ChicoBag emphasized sustainable practices, so we frequently printed on recycled materials with soy-based ink. As a member of the marketing team, I designed and developed creative materials such as advertisements, signage, and promotional collateral. I was also responsible for managing relationships with outside partners, printers, and photographers.
