August Wilson Center For African American Culture

Visual Artist

For my fellowship award, I designed 5 large-scale paintings that remained on display for the Museum's 2013 season. The process started with attending performances within the Cultural Trust, researching and collecting information from these events, and developing sketches that would become the basis for the paintings. These small drawings were scaled to the custom-size panels I created, and then completed with washes of acrylic, oxidized copper and oil.

Mark IV Office Supply And Printing

Graphic Designer

I was invited to join Mark IV's Brainstorm design team for the summer season, and during my term I designed printed business materials, signage, bus graphics, tee shirts, magnets, stickers, ads and other promotional products. This position involved the design as well as the construction and onsite installation of each product. I was also responsible for operating a Roland Versacamm large format printer, and had extensive customer service duties since each project required individual consultation and price quotes for each client.

Pharma ChemOutsourcing

Lead Designer

I used my experience with pharmaceutical marketing and graphics creation to help promote the 2009 ChemOutsourcing convention. Working as the primary design specialist for the company involved creating still graphics and slide presentations, as well as offering creative consultation services. I worked for Pharma Chem on a freelance basis until late 2011 when the company decided to keep all of their services local instead of using telecommuters.
