A graduate of the University of Virginia and Harvard Law School, Mark Levinstein commands more than three decades of legal experience as an antitrust and sports law attorney, professor, and author. A former lecturer at the law schools of George Washington University and Catholic University, he has served as an adjunct professor at the Georgetown Law Center since 1996. In this role, Mark Levinstein teaches classes on advanced antitrust matters and sports-related law. In addition to his professorial duties, he has co-authored two editions of a widely used textbook titled Sports Law: Cases and Materials.

Professionally, Mark Levinstein serves as a partner with Washington, D.C.-area litigation firm Williams & Connolly, LLP. Since joining the firm in 1983, he has handled antitrust cases in dozens of industries, including semiconductors, computerized lottery equipment, credit cards, ATMs, health care and hospitals, soft drinks, paint, chain link fencing, and professional sports. In addition, he has represented numerous professional sports teams, athletes, coaches, general managers, and sports associations, and has acted as outside general counsel for the US National Soccer Team Players Association.

A prominent figure in the field, Mr. Levinstein is routinely included in lists such as “The Best Lawyers in America” and Chambers and Partners’ “America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.”
