Maniyarasan Rajendran is both an Architect and a Photographer, not in any particular order. A symbiotic blend, which he believes, has been a catalyst in egging on his passion. Being a descendent of a family of weavers, he is not new to the concept of ‘God is in the details’. His journey has thus spanned the vibrant cultural roots to the pulsating cities. His background has fueled his attitude of inclusive learning and intention to engage in social design at a grassroot level.
Currently he is a research scholar at the Design Department at IIT Hyderabad, India. His research topic is ‘A study and development of a process documentation framework for architectural projects and its impact on the design process’. Theory of architecture, image-making and their history are his primary interests of study. He graduated in architecture from SPA, New Delhi and obtained post graduate degree in photography design from NID, Ahmedabad, in collaboration with UCA [Farnham, UK]. He has been working with conservation, architectural, interior and design studios, as a their photographer and a visual documentation consultant. Read Less
