MAIKO SEMBOKUYA is born and raised in Japan and New York-based illustrator. After she earned her BFA at Tyler School of Art Temple University, she decided to work as an illustrator. She has been in charge of illustrating a wide variety of areas such as fashion, beauty, health, food, music, and name it. Simple hand drawing and coloring are her favorite style.



She won finalist in 2011 and semi-finalist in 2009 at the competition, “Chance ten” held by Cross World Connections Tokyo.



She lives with her sweet husband, eight years old son, and two cats in Brooklyn.
