Technical Designer

• Managed communication between product line managers, designers and factories with product development, to hit cost standards & brand esthetic through construction, labor and materials
• Oversaw tech pack and BOM creation and revision throughout all soft good development (plush toys, gear items and clothing)
• Led the development (mock ups, technical pattern making, product testing, tech pack design) of 3 new products (unique to the pet industry) in collaboration with the Director & CEO, unique to the pet industry
• Developed a digital and physical material library for all new and stock fabric, trims and hardware

• Designed up to 300 styles per season of baby, infant & toddler accessories for stores such as Target & Walmart
• Worked in four season cycles developing accessories through trend research, competitor research, mood boards, presentation material, color palettes, concept sketching, tech pack design and material outsourcing. Products included children’s: shoes, socks, tights, purses and hair accessories (headwraps, headbands, clips etc.)
• Created a research document on material standards and factory capabilities used across all products, which was distributed to everyone in the company (around 80 people) to educate and maintain consistency across departments. All departments continue to use this document to reference when communicating about product processes.
