From the time she could hold a pencil, Lindsay Towns has never stopped drawing. No surface was safe: sketchbooks, math homework, and even desks were defenseless to the endless stream of cartoons. Eventually these silly characters and their resulting stories migrated onto copy paper, unfolding into numerous comics and illustrations. After receiving a copy of Photoshop for her birthday, she careened full-force into digital art, finding an interest in digital painting, vectors, pixel art, and, more recently, 3D modelling.

Inspired by classic artists such as N.C. Wyeth and Toulouse Lautrec, as well as more contemporary illustrators like Jerry Pinkney, Lindsay strives to inject the whimsical, soft look of children’s book illustrations into a digital art world flooded with babes with swords. She works in a variety of styles and mediums, using strong shapes and colors to make the personality of a character or environment shine its brightest.

Lindsay graduated from the College for Creative Studies in their Entertainment Arts Department, where she produced environments and look development for her animator friends as well as continuing to build worlds populated by charming characters and beautiful scenery.
